What we work on

If it has a small engine, we'll come look at it.

Two-stroke and four-stroke, push and ride, any brand. Most of what we see is a carburetor, a fuel problem, or a part that's been run past its life — and most of that gets fixed right there in the driveway, out of the truck.

01

Mowers — repair & tune-ups

Push mowers, self-propelled, riders and zero-turns. Full season tune-up on site: oil, plug, air filter, blade sharpen and balance, deck clean-out, cable and belt check.

  • Won't start
  • Carb rebuild
  • Blade sharpening
  • Belts & cables
  • Deck & spindles
  • Drive & transmission
02

Chainsaws, trimmers & blowers

Handheld two-stroke work — the machines that sat all winter with old gas in them. Chain sharpening and bar service done while we're at your place.

  • Chain & bar service
  • Fuel lines
  • Ignition & coils
  • Recoil starters
  • Clutch & sprocket
  • Hedge trimmers
03

Snowblowers, generators & tillers

Off-season equipment, best serviced before you need it. Get the generator running in October, not during the outage — and off-season calls get scheduled a lot faster than May ones.

  • Pre-season service
  • Augers & shear pins
  • Electric start
  • Load testing
  • Tines & gearboxes
  • Fuel system flush
04

Big jobs we haul in

Some repairs need a bench, a press, or a part that has to be ordered — engine rebuilds, transmissions, cracked decks. When that happens we load it, take it, fix it, and bring it back to you running.

  • Engine work
  • Transaxles
  • Ordered parts
  • Pickup & return
  • Quoted first

Common jobs

What things usually run.

There are two ways to get a machine looked at, and they're priced differently. Everything below is labor plus common parts on typical residential equipment — you get a firm number before we touch anything past the estimate.

MOBILE

We come to you — $59

One flat service call covers the drive out and the diagnosis, so there's no separate look-at-it fee. You get a firm quote before any work starts; the repair itself is on top of the $59.

  • Diagnosis included
  • Repairs done at your place
  • Nothing for you to haul
DROP-OFF

You bring it to us — $40

Diagnosis only, and it comes off the bill if the repair is done within 30 days. Call or text first and we'll set up a time and give you directions.

  • By arrangement
  • Cheaper if you can haul it

How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

Call or text us

Tell us the machine and what it's doing. Text is usually fastest — a photo of the model tag helps a lot.

We book you in

We give you the first window we can get to — usually a few days out, longer once spring hits. Nothing for you to load or tow.

We diagnose in the driveway

The $59 service call covers the trip and the diagnosis, so you get a real answer and a firm number for the repair. Nothing gets fixed before you say go.

We fix it and test it

Most repairs happen right there at your place, and we start it in front of you before we pack up. Bench jobs get hauled in and brought back running.

Questions we get

Straight answers.

Is your name really Mower?

It really is. Jason Mower — it's on the driver's license, and it's the reason this business had a name before it had a single customer. It got a lot of laughs and then it got a lot of work.

You really come to my house?

That's the whole idea. The truck carries the tools, the common parts and the sharpener, so most repairs happen right there in your driveway instead of on a bench across town. You never load a dead mower into anything.

What does it cost to find out what's wrong?

Depends how the machine gets to us. If we come to you, it's a $59 service call with the diagnosis included — one flat number covering the trip out and the answer. If you haul it to us instead, diagnosis is $40, and that comes off the bill as long as the repair happens within 30 days. Either way you get a firm quote before anything gets fixed.

My mower sat all winter and won't start. Is it junk?

Almost never. Gas goes bad in a few months and gums up the carburetor, and that is the single most common repair we do. Usually a clean or a rebuild, not a new machine — and usually handled right there at your place.

Do you work on brands you didn't sell?

Every brand. Honda, Toro, Husqvarna, Stihl, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Echo, big-box or dealer — if we can get parts for it, we can fix it. Thirty years in southwest Missouri means we've seen most of it.

Do you sharpen blades if I've got a few?

Yes, and it's the cheapest thing you can do for your lawn — a dull blade tears grass instead of cutting it. Blades get sharpened and balanced on site, and two or more brings the price per blade down. Worth knowing if you run a multi-blade deck, or if the neighbor wants theirs done at the same time.

How fast can you get out here?

We won't promise same-day — we'd rather give you a straight answer than a date we can't hit. Most of the year we're out to you within a few days. April and May are another story; that's when everyone discovers their mower at once. Off-season is always the fastest time to get a machine serviced.
